Dutch bay beach and Lagoon is one of the best coastal tourism sites in the Kalpitiya region. We at West Agro Property Developers identified this in 1994 and proceeded to buy land to commence an Eco –Friendly tourist project. The Government of Sri Lanka has now identified the location as one of the best potential tourist destinations to develop this area as an up-market Beach Resort Region. It is proposed that this region will have along with the accommodation facilities, a Water Sports Zone, Health Holiday area, Eco Tourism zone, leisure tourist zone etc .We intend to add a new dimension to the Dutch Bay Kalpitiya by bringing in ethical eco tourism into this development concept, this form of tourism is now catching on in many countries like Turkey, Egypt, Morocco Malaysia etc. |
A Cabana style Resort based on ethical eco tourism for all would change the whole outlook of the area by attracting the local tourists and also the foreign tourists from the other popular destinations who presently are not coming to the Kalpitiya Area because they don’t know of its existence and lack of tourist lodging facilities.They are unaware of this Beautiful pristine piece of Sri Lanka.
